What it does
Four ways to check something
Most scams reach you the same few ways — a link, a message, a number, or a stolen photo. Fraud Monitor checks all four.
Blocks scam sites
Phishing pages, fake shops, and crypto phishing and wallet-drainer sites are stopped before they finish loading, with a warning instead of the page.
Reads suspicious messages
Paste a message, or right-click any text on a page, and a machine-learning model scores how likely it is to be a scam.
Checks phone numbers
Look up a caller or WhatsApp number against a database of reported fraud and Do Not Call complaints.
Matches stolen photos
Romance and investment scammers reuse the same pictures. Drop an image in and it is matched against known fraud imagery.
New on Android
The phone is where the scam actually calls you
A browser extension can only guard the browser. The Android app covers the three ways fraud reaches a phone — the call, the text, and the link they talk you into opening — and it works across every app on the device, not just one.
Rejects scam calls
Set as your call-screening app, it checks each incoming number against the on-device blocklist and hangs up on the ones it knows. Anyone in your contacts is never blocked, whatever the list says.
Warns on scam texts
An on-device model reads each incoming message and tells you when it looks like a scam, and why. The text stays in your inbox untouched — Fraud Monitor warns, it never deletes or hides a message.
Blocks scam sites
A filter held on the phone refuses to resolve known scam domains, so the block applies in every browser and every app — including the link that arrived in the text you were just warned about.
Android 10 and later · Free · Call screening and message warnings are each opt-in, and either can be turned off without the other.
Privacy
Your browsing, texts and contacts stay on your device
Checking every page you visit against a server would mean sending us your entire browsing history. So we do not do that. The blocklists are downloaded to your browser and your phone and checked locally, in well under a millisecond.
- ●The list of scam sites is downloaded to you, not your history uploaded to us.
- ●An ordinary page you visit produces no network request at all.
- ●No account, no sign-up, no tracking, no ads.
- ●On Android, the wording of your texts is judged by a model on the phone. We never see the message.
- ●Your contacts are read on the phone to protect people you know from being blocked, and are never uploaded.
- ●Manual scans send only the thing you asked us to check.
