★ NEW — The Canon Runs Live
The canon is no longer a document — it's a fleet. Every witness log is a cell. Every citation is a graph edge. The graph has live topology — components, holes, circuits — and that topology has a single number you can read off the worker: b1, the first Betti number. Same math as bilayer graphene's supercell registry and the QUILT mode in twist-engine. Five live endpoints, public, queryable, embeddable — including the fleet graph (vanilla-JS, force-directed, 39 cells, parent-of edges dashed blue), semantic canon search (bge-base-en-v1.5, 768d cosine), and the live circuit rank over the citation graph.

★ The Superside — One Fabric, Every Chip
The same Verilog-2005 fabric — no vendor code, no floats — is verified by 21/21 testbenches, 6/6 formal proofs, and real bitstreams: HX8K at 44.4 MHz (98% LC), UP5K at 16.8 MHz, ECP5 at 63.7 MHz, complete state in one flat QUF file (the GGUF of cellular silicon). The superside is what comes next: QUF-SNAP (append-only fire logs make hardware history replayable), a contention-sorted tick scheduler (the patch bay as silicon), a formally proven byzantine tripwire, K as a runtime dial, a dialometer BIST that tests alignment by sweeping its own projection plane, and a snap-only observability theorem that deletes debug ports while strengthening the guarantee. Small chips, many gears — one contract.
2026-09-04 correction: this section said "18/18 testbenches" when written; the suite is now 21/21 (new q_tern_dice, q_snaplog/q_whistle, crc32-boot lanes) per quilt-verilog commit 37e206f, re-run verified 2026-09-03 (audit r13). Original claim preserved in git history.

★ New Research — The Machines Teach Themselves
Five local AI models on one consumer GPU competed to design control strategies for our integer-only snap engine (the batten-wave substrate from Paper 225), with a deterministic simulator as the only judge. Two findings that change how self-improving agent teams are built: (1) The Ratchet — without per-agent memory of their own best work, models abandon winning designs under leaderboard pressure and regress, every time; with it, three regressions were caught and held. (2) The Variety Ledger — score isn't a verdict, it's a query: strategies are banked across calm and stressed regimes, and the tournament "loser" turned out to be the undisputed specialist for calm conditions. And the headline: a 2-billion-parameter model beat the human hand-tuned strategy by 10 points — while the biggest models in the field failed to produce a single valid design. Small crews that synergize beat stars that don't.

Featured — Fresh off the Ways
A no-code game engine where kids wire tiles together instead of writing code — every cell inspectable, swappable, alive on its own. Drag a wire, watch a value travel, and the game is whatever the wiring says: invaders, harbor defense, and the Deep Caverns — lifts, keys, crumble bridges, confetti through the same port as everything else. Built the fleet way: builder lane, adversarial gatekeeper, an OpenCode debug pass that killed nine falsy-zero bugs, and a 90s machine-mechanics compendium with concept art from Cloudflare's own image models. 58 contract tests, played headless with receipts.

Tonight — The Wall Learns to be Searched
Four live demo walls from the competitive-ideation rounds: the seam wall, the agents' wall, the road ledger, and the wire lab — egocentric 0/0/0 origins, link-as-subtext, nested universes. The doctrine behind them is written up in rounds 1–4 of the visions (scenes 01–10, papers 220–222), including tonight's The Cold Cell — residency heat rendered across three timescales — and The Searchable Canon: the entire 200+ document canon embedded into a vector index.
🔍 Search the canon by meaning — type "the seam is the product" or "conch shell residency" and get the papers that mean it, not just the ones that say it. The index is a nurse, not a doctor: it brings the chart to the bedside and cannot read it.
Today — Two Games, One Fleet
MIST — Tale of a Sheepdog Puppy is live and complete: Bramble the companion sheep who chooses you and remembers you, a meadow that sings its own theme, the Mellon Sandbox of Livestock where kids run real experiments with an AI researcher judging every one — and failed experiments hang on the wall with pride.
SCRAPCRAFT is now playable: the voxel scrapyard where middle-schoolers build robots, program them, and flash real Arduino firmware from the browser — with the yard running as a live quilt sheet (55 reactive cells, real formulas, ghost racers simulated from your own code). The tile brain compiles to a deterministic VM — so the robot can explain why it just did that (press Y for the trace-debugger), and any solve encodes to a verifiable token that re-runs to the exact same result: reproducible competitions, no other coding toy has them. The backend stack: pincher-cache AI workers (instant forever after first render), the quilt engine on Durable Objects, WebSerial hardware flashing, and lore-grounded RAG — all fleet doctrine.
