Completion of courses, projects, assessments, certificates, badges, achievements, or other learning activities does not guarantee employment, certification, professional qualification, or any specific outcome.
Certificates, badges, achievements, and course completions are provided for educational purposes only and do not constitute accredited academic credit, professional certification, or employment qualifications.
Any certificates issued by Start.dev represent completion of platform requirements and are not accredited educational credentials.
7. AI-Powered Features
The Services may include AI-powered features, including chat assistants, learning recommendations, personalized content, automated feedback, and other AI-assisted tools.
AI-generated content may be inaccurate, incomplete, misleading, or outdated.
You acknowledge and agree that:
- AI outputs are provided for informational and educational purposes only
- AI outputs should not be relied upon as professional, legal, financial, medical, or technical advice
- You are responsible for independently evaluating and verifying any AI-generated information
We do not guarantee the accuracy, reliability, or suitability of AI-generated content.
8. User Content
Users may submit, upload, publish, or otherwise provide content through the Services, including:

You retain ownership of any intellectual property rights you hold in your content.

WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT THE SERVICES WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED, ERROR-FREE, SECURE, OR FREE FROM HARMFUL COMPONENTS.
18. Limitation of Liability
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, START.DEV AND ITS AFFILIATES, OFFICERS, EMPLOYEES, CONTRACTORS, AND AGENTS SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, EXEMPLARY, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES ARISING FROM OR RELATED TO THE SERVICES.
IN NO EVENT SHALL OUR TOTAL LIABILITY EXCEED THE GREATER OF:
- THE AMOUNT PAID BY YOU TO START.DEV DURING THE TWELVE (12) MONTHS PRECEDING THE CLAIM; OR
- ONE HUNDRED U.S. DOLLARS (USD $100).
19. Indemnification
You agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless Start.dev and its affiliates, officers, employees, contractors, and agents from and against any claims, liabilities, damages, losses, and expenses arising out of:
- Your use of the Services
- Your content
- Your violation of these Terms
- Your violation of any law or third-party rights
20. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of Texas, without regard to conflict of law principles.
21. Arbitration Agreement
Any dispute arising out of or relating to these Terms or the Services shall be resolved through binding arbitration on an individual basis.
Arbitration shall be administered by the American Arbitration Association ("AAA") in accordance with its Consumer Arbitration Rules.
The arbitration shall take place in Texas, unless otherwise required by applicable law.
You and Start.dev waive any right to a jury trial or participation in a class action, class arbitration, or representative proceeding.
Nothing in this section prevents either party from seeking injunctive or equitable relief where appropriate.

We may modify these Terms from time to time.
Updated Terms will be posted on the Services with a revised "Last Updated" date.
Continued use of the Services after changes become effective constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
