Every service runs on a single platform and is wired together over private networking — your compute, databases, cache, storage, and mail talk to each other internally without exposing traffic to the public internet. You manage them from one dashboard and pay under one bill, instead of stitching together separate providers.
Every new account gets €5 of credit, valid for 30 days, with no credit card required. The entry Nano plans for web services and PostgreSQL are €3/mo each. One Nano web service on its own runs the full 30 days on the credit; a web service plus a database costs €6 a month, so that pair runs about 25 days before you need to top up. Redis starts at €5/mo. Some things are never billed and never touch the credit: static sites, the first 5 GB of object storage, and 3,000 transactional emails a month. Sending mail to external recipients does require a one-time top-up of at least €5. While you are on credit alone you run one service of each type (one web service, one PostgreSQL, one Redis, one cron job) on the entry plans, Nano or Starter. Static sites are not counted. A €5 top-up lifts both limits. When the credit is spent or expires, services stop with their data intact. Top up any amount from €5 and press Start to bring them back.
Everything runs in the EU — specifically Germany. Every plan includes a signed GDPR Data Processing Agreement (DPA), so your data stays within European jurisdiction by default.
