ITNOG DIECI

Italian Network Operators Group - 10 Lab

ITNOG Network Playground

The ITNOG Network Playground was created with the idea of building a tangible, accessible, and shared space where networking is not just theory or slides, but something to explore, touch, and put to the test.

In a context where real infrastructures are often difficult to replicate or observe up close, this lab provides an environment that faithfully reproduces ISP network scenarios: multiple upstreams, peering, a redundant core, access network, and real services. It is not just a “closed” lab, but an open platform designed to foster experimentation, collaboration, and learning among operators, engineers, and enthusiasts.

Here you can step in, see how the network is built, understand architectural choices, test configurations, and observe how different vendors interact in realistic scenarios. Whether you want to analyze BGP behavior, verify a failover, or simply gain a better understanding of how a modern ISP infrastructure works, this playground is designed to give you the tools to do so.

During ITNOG, the lab will be freely accessible and complemented by guided sessions where the main mechanisms, configurations, and some practical use cases will be presented, with the goal of encouraging discussion and knowledge sharing.
