CodeRevive
CodeRevive is a company and side project by Nilselvefors.
The goal is to revive old open source projects that have been inactive for a long time and still have a large community of users.
We keep these projects current and useful for their communities.
Security patches come first.
We also work on issues and suggestions from the community of each project.
This can include:
- Fixing bugs.
- Updating dependencies.
- Supporting newer runtimes.
- Improving documentation.
- Adding tests.
- Reviewing community requests.
We preserve the original project history and license.
We document every important change.
We respect the original authors and maintainers.
We make it clear when a project is a community continuation.
Community feedback helps decide what to work on next.
You can help by:
- Reporting bugs.
- Reporting security issues privately.
- Suggesting improvements.
- Improving documentation.
- Testing new releases.
- Reviewing changes.
Please use the issue tracker in the relevant repository for normal feedback.
Please use the security contact in the relevant repository for sensitive security reports.
Many old projects still have value.
CodeRevive helps keep them alive, secure, and useful.
