Summary
Pasting an image from the system clipboard into the Command Code CLI prompt does not attach the image. This prevents me from sharing screenshots directly during a session.
Expected Behavior
When an image is copied to the system clipboard and pasted into the prompt, Command Code should attach it as an image and show that it is ready to send.
Actual Behavior
Pasting an image from the clipboard does not attach anything to the prompt. Dragging the same image from the file manager into Command Code works correctly.
Steps to reproduce the issue
- Start Command Code with
cmd.
- Copy a screenshot or image to the system clipboard.
- Focus the Command Code prompt.
- Use the terminal paste shortcut.
- Observe that no image is attached.

No response
Fix prompt (optional)
Add clipboard image handling to the interactive prompt. Detect image clipboard data on paste, create an image attachment, and verify it works on Linux terminals without breaking normal text paste.
Additional context
Dragging an image file from the file manager into Command Code works correctly; only pasting image data directly from the clipboard fails. The issue reproduces in both Kitty and XFCE Terminal.
