Yes you can save bundles and use them... Checkout cgc bundle commands on https://codegraphcontext.github.io/reference/cli_indexing/

I havent tried this. But extensively use neo4j with multiple repos. Heres from Claude:

1. Use Neo4j (vs. the embedded Kùzu default) — biggest win for reuse
   The embedded database lives inside .codegraphcontext/ per workspace. A Neo4j server lets you:

Index once, connect many times. Multiple agents/CI jobs point at the same NEO4J_URI and skip indexing entirely — startup drops to just the driver handshake (~1–2s).
Share across machines. A single remote Neo4j (e.g. on a build host) serves the whole team.
Run incremental updates via watch_directory on one indexer while consumers stay read-only (ALLOW_DB_DELETION=false).
2. Copy/restore a prior index — best for ephemeral CI sandboxes
Embedded DB: the .codegraphcontext/ directory is portable. Cache it as a CI artifact keyed by commit SHA (or package-lock.json hash) and restore on the next run. Cold index → warm restore typically goes from minutes to seconds.
Neo4j dump/load: for server mode, use neo4j-admin database dump / load, or take a volume snapshot.
CGC bundles (.cgc files): cgc bundle create + load_bundle (or the registry) is the built-in portable snapshot format — designed exactly for this. Pre-build a bundle in a nightly job, then load_bundle in the sandbox for near-instant startup.
Recommended pattern for CI / agent sandboxes
Nightly job: full index → publish a .cgc bundle (or Neo4j dump) as an artifact.
Per-PR job: load_bundle the latest baseline (~seconds), then incrementally index only the changed files via add_code_to_graph on the diff.
Long-lived agent fleets: point all of them at one shared Neo4j; a single watcher process keeps it fresh.
