Four golden rules
These four simple rules help to focus the brand identity and produce consistent, clean content.
- Use only FiraGo
- Keep it short and simple
- Use Regular, Bold or ExtraBold weights only
- Use sentence case
FiraGO
Great typography creates a memorable brand impression. It’s essential for communicating a distinctive identity.
Our humanist sans-serif typeface – FiraGo – unifies our messaging and fosters familiarity with HERE. It’s a functional, cross-platform typeface perfectly suited for the digital world. We use FiraGo in these weights: Regular, Bold and Extra Bold.
Fallback fonts
If FiraGo is unavailable due to loading issues, rendering problems, or lack of support, please use the following fallback fonts in this order to maintain visual consistency:
- Helvetica
- Verdana
- Arial
For languages that are not supported by FiraGo, refer to our font repository for the recommended alternatives.
Below is a list of commonly used fallback fonts for specific languages (access is required):
- Han Sans Simplified Chinese - Simplified Chinese
- Lohit font family – Lohit Bengali (Bengali) and Lohit Kannada Malayalam Tamil Telugu (Kannada, Malayalam, Tamil and Telugu)
- Nanum Gothic - Korean
- Noto Sans family – Noto Sans Armenian (Armenian), Noto Sans Georgian (Georgian), Noto Sans Japanese (Japanese), Noto Sans Khmer (Khmer) and Noto Sans Myanmar (Burmese)
Always ensure you are using the latest version of the recommended fonts from our official font repository. If you are unsure which font to use for a particular language or script, please contact the brand team.
Alignment
We favor left-aligned text. As a default, always use left-aligned text in your layouts. It improves readability with a consistent starting point that supports the natural reading flow.
In a few special cases – when there is short copy and no complex information to be decoded – center-aligned text may be used. The example below shows a presentation slide with a short quote.
Typesetting and hierarchy
Our typesetting and type hierarchy create a clear structure for copy while reinforcing our brand. You can make small adjustments within these guidelines as needed, but always make sure there’s a clear hierarchy of information.
