Spinstack 1.5 knows the condition of every record you own. Scan the groove, hear the scratches while it plays, and get proof you can share. All on your iPhone.
Spinstack is the vinyl app that knows the actual condition of every record you own.
A vinyl collection is not a list. It is a self-portrait in twelve-inch resolution. Every record on your shelf is something you chose. Every spin is something you came back to. Every scratch has a story. The collection knows things about you that you forgot.
Spinstack gives the shelf a voice. It sees the records. It reads the grooves. It hears the spins. It remembers the nights. And it can talk back about all of it in your phone's own voice, on-device. No cloud. No servers. No compromise.
RECORD CONDITION
Grade media and sleeve on every record, see the whole collection's health, and export a free Condition Receipt or a Collection Appraisal PDF that values every graded record at its own condition. The Condition Card draws every detected scratch where it sits in the grooves, proof you can send with a listing.
Groove Vision. On iPhone Pro and iPad Pro with LiDAR, scan the playable surface in four close-up quadrants. LiDAR reads the depth of every scratch, the camera reads the texture, and the worst quadrant sets the estimate, because the needle hits every scratch. You decide the grade.
Scratch Detection. Start a Silent Session, drop the needle, and Spinstack listens through the microphone for surface scratches, mapping where they sit, track by track. On-device and opt-in.
Tap the sleeve. Stick an NFC sticker on a copy and one tap opens the Tap Card: pressing, grades, value, play history and its scratch map, instantly and offline.
ON YOUR DEVICE
Ask Your Collection. Ask your shelves anything, in the app or from Siri. It answers from your actual records, not a guess, and shows what it checked under every answer.
AI Liner Notes. Apple's on-device language model, on by default where Apple Intelligence is available, writes personalized text across nineteen surfaces, from a Vinyl DNA narrative to session recaps and your monthly Spin Report. It runs entirely on your device.
THE REST OF THE SHELF
At the record store. Partner stores carry a counter card; scan it and Spinstack's App Clip identifies any pressing in the bins, no install, no account. A wishlist hit rises out of a crate in 3D.
Crews. A private circle of up to eight collectors. One shared feed, a crate you build and vote on together, a weekly Crew Spin, and a Stamp Book of finished weeks. Invite-only, nothing public.
Spin Reports. Your month and year in vinyl, built live from your spin log around your own artwork, with a shareable card.
Wax Timeline. The story of how your collection got here, tappable down to every record.
On Apple Watch. Sessions with a countdown ring and a wrist tap to flip, stylus wear from real playtime, and complications down to Never Spun.
Scrobble to Last.fm, sell on the Marketplace, and never buy a duplicate gift with Gift Mode.
DAILY ESSENTIALS

WHO IT IS FOR
If you keep records on a shelf. If a Sunday morning sounds like a specific side B. If you have ever stood over a record-shop bin wondering what you already own, or what shape your copy is really in. Spinstack is built for you.
Records remember. We listen.
Built for collectors. Tuned by the obsessed.

Spinstack 1.5 knows the condition of every record you own.
RECORD CONDITION. The Condition tab is now a standard part of the app: Groove Vision, Scratch Detection, collection health, and a worth-checking-first queue. The new Condition Card is a shareable image with every detected scratch drawn where it sits in the grooves. The Condition Receipt is free for everyone, and exporting a Collection Appraisal became a moment: the report drops onto the desk in 3D, your total counts up, and it saves as a PDF. Plus a Generic sleeve grade for the plain sleeves most 45s come in. Price Watchdog and the Collection Appraisal now value each graded record at its own condition, and the headline, the PDF and the Condition tab agree to the dollar. Groove Vision shows its estimate with its confidence and marks the quadrant that set it; you decide the grade.
ON YOUR DEVICE. Ask Your Collection answers questions from your actual records, in the app or from Siri, and shows what it checked under every answer. Point the camera at a sleeve and Spinstack tells you whether you already own it. Sonic Fingerprint measures a playing record's tempo, key and loudness. Every AI feature runs on your iPhone; nothing leaves it. AI Liner Notes is on by default where Apple Intelligence is available; if you had switched it off, your choice stands.
AT THE RECORD STORE. Scan a partner store's counter card and Spinstack's App Clip identifies any pressing in the bins: no install, no account, with the store's own picks on a shelf. Your finds wait on Home after you install. And when a scan matches your wishlist, the sleeve rises out of a crate in 3D with the date you started wanting it. Already have the app? The store welcomes you by name before Vinyl Vision opens, with its staff picks a tap away.
FROM WISHLIST TO SHELF. Add a record you had wishlisted and the wishlist entry clears itself, Done lands you back in one motion, and the new cover appears on your shelves immediately.
TAP THE SLEEVE. An NFC sticker now opens the Tap Card: pressing, grades, value, play history and the scratch map for that exact copy, instantly and offline.
ON YOUR WRIST. The watch app is redesigned around the listening session, wrist spins now count toward stylus wear, and a Never Spun complication surfaces the records you keep skipping.
ON APPLE TV. Game Night is a pass-the-remote quiz built from your records. Now Spinning keeps a record company on the big screen, its disc turning at a real 33 1/3 rpm. Your replaced covers, Spin Reports and Crews come along, and Today's Pick sits on the Top Shelf.
EVERYWHERE. Spin Reports rebuilt around your artwork. Today's Pick fills Discover on iPad. Your records in Spotlight, Siri opens a record by name, a Control Center scan control, and widgets that know when to appear. The Guide: 169 features, searchable. Sixteen languages, down to every permission prompt and Siri phrase. Export your whole spin history as CSV or JSON, with Discogs release IDs so any app can match your records.
